Kuehn Roof Systems Inc. was started in 1979, by John and Betty Kuehn and son Tom Kuehn (pictured above), a farm family from Wisconsin. In 1969 John and Tom received a job together working for a local roofing company and moved to Minnesota. Ten years later, in 1979, John and Tom left the local roofing company and started a small family roofing company, Kuehn Roofing. Kuehn Roofing did roof maintenance for the Anoka School Systems, the City of Anoka, Anoka Library Systems, and Centennial School Systems. Relationships were then formed with some local contractors and the company grew to doing large commercial projects. Tom never wanted to grow the company too large, he was content to service his customer base and enjoy the relationships he developed from that. The company has survived over the years because of those customer relationships maintained and those that will continue to be formed in the future. John and Betty Kuehn are now deceased. Tom and his wife Juli Kuehn are now the main stock holders in Kuehn Roof Systems, Inc., and son Matthew is a current employee and hopes to continue as the next generation.
